THE ALCHEMIST

                                                                                        Ratings:- 3 out of 5 ❤❤❤

About the Book:-

It is a good read but a bit overrated. Anyhow, I like it because it holds powerful motivational value along with a beautiful story-line that not only teaches about destiny, belief but also about the meaning of love.

Why I read it again:-

I have completed this book in 4 days approximately. I had read it before as well but going through the reviews, I thought I might have missed something. So, I read it again for the sake of getting the essence of the book that might have been ignored when I read it before.

The book is a good read as it has quotes that are beautifully used to motivate the reader and to make him believe in destiny and work for it. The book outlines the importance of listening to your heart, which gives us signs in form of omens to guide us through our journeys. The book also highlights the meaning of love, which was beautiful. I loved it.

Ideas in the Story:-
  • The main idea behind the story is that if you require something then the whole universe conspires to get you that, and it is repeated several times. Like, a shepherd boy dreamt of finding treasure in the Pyramids, he believed in his vision and followed it, and he was given signs by Mother Nature to pursue it.
  • Another important thing that came out at the very end of the story was that journey or the path one follows has great importance as well, which is all about getting to know yourself and finding your true happiness; this is where you will get your treasure as well. The universe is energy; when our vibes match with it, we will for sure receive the omens. No matter how close or far your treasure is; the main focus should be on the journey because it is the one that can unveil the worth, happiness, and life’s purpose of a person. The journey itself holds more importance as does the destination does.
  • “Maktub” this word fascinated me, gave me a shiver down my spine. Our lives are intertwined and everything that happens, every person we meet is because that it was meant to. Even the slightest thing has something to do with our destinies.
Ending Note:-

Overall, the book reminds us of the things that we already know but have forgotten or ignored to attain riches, recognition, or whatnot. It’s just a basic thing to keep in mind that one must have a dream and strength for realizing it.

P.S.:- I will be editing this and posting some more articles about the book "The Alchemist" soon.
